SQL Modernization Base

Modernizing SQL Server by eliminating the need to maintain physical or virtual servers, along with the related licensing requirements is an easy way to maximize your Azure Cloud adoption. The modernization of SQL includes 2 different options: SQL PaaS and SQL Managed instance. Both options eliminate the need to manage servers and SQL licenses but offer different approaches depending on your business requirements.
The Assessment Base packaged service will perform an analysis of your existing server-based SQL databases and make recommendations about which path you should follow. This package includes configuring 1 SQL Managed Instance and up to 5 databases, or up to 5 SQL PaaS databases. Additional SQL Managed Instances and databases can be added as necessary to encompass your entire data estate.
An existing Azure Cloud Foundation (landing zone) is required for this packaged service.
